The Supply Settings step allows you to edit attributes of supply properties in your desired market area before running an analysis. All changes made on the Supply Settings page will be reflected in metric values (like penetration rates and unmet demand figures) as well as the competition lists.

Please note that for NIC MAP Data Service subscribers, this step also includes which properties will be aggregated for the Property Advisor Report tab of the VisionLTC Site Detail Report. The same data protections (selecting at least 4 properties by 4 different operators, or a limit of 50 properties) apply here that applied to the previous iteration of the NIC MAP Property Advisor Report to protect the anonymity of data contributors.

NOTE: You can only use the Supply Settings step on a Site Evaluation that does NOT include a benchmark on Step 3. If this analysis type is not selected you will see the warning (pictured below).

You can run your analysis as usual by clicking the "Resident Profiles" button on Step 5.

Global Supply Settings

Clicking the Filter Supply button in Supply Settings will allow you to quickly refine the list of available supply properties to include only those relevant to your analysis. The Supply Settings step keeps a running total of the total amount of filtered properties vs. total properties in the market area near the top of the window.

  • Include / Exclude All Properties on the list by using the "Select All" checkbox to toggle.

  • Include / Exclude Single Properties by utilizing the checkbox to the left of each property's name.

  • Search for Properties by Name by utilizing the Search Supply search box.

  • [Box A] Property Descriptors allows you to filter the list of properties for those that belong to a certain Operator, or, for NIC MAP Data Service customers, by Property Type, Status, and Profit Type.

  • [Box B] Open / Built allows you to filter the list of properties for those properties open or built before or after a certain year.

  • [Box C] Beds allows you to filter the list of properties for those properties with a minimum or maximum number of beds by care segment (IL, AL, MC, NC).

Each time a filter is "applied" the previous filter is reset. Additionally, each filter acts as an AND criteria, so selecting multiple filters will only select those properties that meet all the criteria you have set. You can reset your changes and start over by pressing the Reset button.

Saved Supply Settings

Supply Settings are autosaved when you complete an analysis. To re-use past Supply Settings from an older analyses, simply select that analysis from the dropdown box on the page.

Individual Property Supply Settings

Supply Settings can also be altered at the individual property level, most commonly when data is obtained from a third-party resource.

  • Bed Weighting by altering the weight of a facility, you are discounting the percentage of beds from that facility will be included as competitive supply. If a facility has 100 beds and you weigh the facility at 50%, only 50 beds of that facility will be counted in your supply metrics.

  • Bed Counts allows you to make manual changes to the bed counts at the property. If you are aware of additional beds at the property (or beds coming on-line soon), you can include those here.

  • Occupancy / Rate individual community-level rate and occupancy data can be included here. Please note that this must be obtained from a third-party, as NIC MAP Data is only offered in aggregate.

You can reset each section you have altered by clicking the respective "Reset" buttons.

Once you are done making changes, please select the Resident Profiles button to move on to the next step.
