NIC MAP Analyses are a powerful market search tool that put nearly all the data available in a NIC MAP subscription at your fingertips! Analyses will allow for you to explore the market around a known address, or even prospect for new markets. It is important to follow the steps below to ensure that you are extracting all the valuable insights to help support your organizational goals.
Webinar 101
If you have not done so already, we recommend attending a 101 Webinar Series with our Client Success Team. These weekly sessions are free to join -- you can sign up via the Data Calendar on the NIC MAP home page or reach out to support@nicmap.com for more information.
A recording of a recent session is also available in the Video Library (Resources > Library > Videos).
Understanding Analysis Types
Analyses are a six-step process that will begin when one of (up to six) analyses types are selected on Step 1.
Each analysis type will serve a different purpose, based on the scope of your search. To learn more about the analysis types available, see the article here.
Accessing Reports and Data
Each analysis that you process includes thousands of metrics and many other ancillary datasets. To view all of your analyses' data in a tabbed format, try our Site Detail Report. If your analysis included a lot of sites and market areas, you can export all the metric data via the Raw Data Download.
You can customize the Site tab of your Site Detail Report by utilizing NIC MAP's custom Report Templates feature (Utilities > Report Templates).
What's Shared with Your Team Members?
Some information on your portal is automatically shared with your team members, while other information is private to you. Groups and Report Templates are automatically shared, but analyses and their data remain private until you activate sharing.
Getting Started with Groups
Groups allow you to save and organize locations you frequently work with -- whether they are part of your portfolio, development opportunities, or acquisitions under review. Groups can be used in Step 2 of your analysis as a list of target sites, or can be utilized in Step 3 as a benchmark.
