Before you begin running analyses, you will want to create a Group(s). Groups serve as the basis for many tools in the VisionLTC platform, including Analyses, Labor, Benchmarks, News and Marketing. Groups are composed of any locations that you desire. You can upload your portfolio, a competitor’s portfolio, retail stores, available land parcels, or anything with an address.
How to Create a New Group
First, Click “Utilities” on the Sidebar then “Groups.” Then, click “New Site Group” in the top-right corner of the screen.
In the new window, give your Group a name in the “Enter a name for your group…” box. Click “Add Group” in the pop-up window to create the Group.
Once the Group has been created, click on “Download Blank Template” to retrieve a copy of the Site Template. Fill out the Site Template with the information for all of your sites.
Only the highlighted fields are required, but we encourage you to fill out as much of the template as you can, so you can reference the data in the tool in the future.
Additionally, you can include lat/long coordinates if you have them, but they’re not required because the VisionLTC system will geocode the address of the sites.
You can upload between 1 and 4,000 sites at a time.
NOTE: If you need to upload more than 4,000 sites to a single Group, then you will need to upload multiple files to the same group. If you attempt to upload more than 4,000 sites at one time, then you may experience errors.
Save the Site Template and close the file. In the group window, select “Browse” and select the Site Template file or drag and drop the template into the upload window. Click “Save Group” to load your data into the Group.
Modify Groups
To delete a group entirely, click the ellipsis (…) button beside the group name. In the pop-up menu, choose “Delete Group.”
To delete a site in a Group, begin by clicking “Manage” beside the desired group name. Select the checkbox beside the Facility ID and click “Delete Selected Site(s).”
Additionally, you can select the checkbox beside more than one site name and choose “Duplicate Selected Sites” to create a new sub-group without changing the existing parent group.
Groups are shared across your company’s platform, so once a Group is created all your colleagues will be able to see and use that Group. Similarly, if you edit or delete a Group, then you will edit or delete that Group for all your colleagues.
